2004
ND SatCom AG founded ND SatCom Defence GmbH, an outsourced subsidiary holding an outstanding position in the military market.
2003
ND SatCom opened its Middle East Branch in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
ND SatCom founded ND SatCom, Inc. as a subsidiary in the US and opened its China office in Beijing.
2002
The transformation into a stock corporation took place in September 2002. Shareholders are AUGUSTA Technologie AG, Frankfurt/Germany and SES ASTRA in Luxembourg.
2000
In July 2000, the SatCom unit within Nortel Dasa was spun off to become a self-contained subsidiary called ND SatCom.
1996
Broadband VSAT-system SkyWAN® went into series production. Running parallel to the foundation of Nortel Dasa, military satellite communications shaped up as a prominent new market segment for SatCom in Germany.
1995
As a result of the foundation of Nortel Dasa in 1995, the entire ground station activities were consolidated and became the SatCom unit within the new company.
1989
1989 Dornier GmbH, among others, was integrated with "Deutsche Aerospace AG" (Dasa) which was founded as a 100% subsidiary of the Daimler-Benz group. Ground station activities, now belonging to the Dasa satellite communication sector, had a significant role in the setting up of the communication infrastructure in former East Germany.
THE EARLY 80'S
During the early 80's significant projects including a network of 25 small ground stations for business communication, fixed TV-uplink systems for private TV- broadcasters as well as transportable ground stations had been acquired. At the same, time further projects for the European Space Agency (ESA) had been realized.
