SkyWAN¦amp;reg; IDU 5000

The ND SatCom SkyWAN® IDU 5000 is a MF-TDMA modem with built-in IP routing, frame relay switching as well as multicast transmissions. It combines a comprehensive feature set with a full range of ODU technologies.

Each ND SatCom SkyWAN® IDU 5000 provides one Ethernet/Fast Ethernet port and up to four operational frame relay ports.

A second demodulator can be inserted into the ND SatCom SkyWAN® IDU 5000 chassis offering additional options for network design. Multicast sessions requiring high bandwidth capacity become feasible, which in addition can be optimized by the unique feature “Flexible Multicast Channel Assignment (FMCA)”.

With the addition of the Frame Plan Generator (FGA) option, the station is able to function in either Master or Backup-Master mode.

The SkyWAN® IDU 5000 terminal is certified with the TR 3000 terminals to IEC 60950 and conforms to CE regulations for safety, EMC, and R&TTE.
