Large fixed satellite ground stations typically serve as anchor stations for wide area satellite communications between the nation’s territory and the transportable terminals in out-of-area deployment regions.
Based on the respective customer requirements, ND SatCom has delivered a large number of fixed satellite ground stations as turnkey solutions in different RF and baseband configurations. They are used as teleports for multiple services including voice, video, data, fax and multimedia applications. Their multiband capabilities allow operations in all common frequency ranges such as C-, X-, Ku- and Ka-band. Most commercial and military satellites can therefore be utilized.
ND SatCom provides fixed ground terminals as turn key solutions. Examples of these are the anchor
stations supplied by ND SatCom for the German and Dutch Milsatcom programs.
Those ground terminals usually consist of:
- One or several antenna front ends for C-, X-, Ku- or Ka-band in the range of 4.8m to 16m.
- A central operating building housing the modems/routers and the baseband equipment
- A Monitoring & Control System allowing central control of all outdoor and indoor equipment
