You have the choice between one-way delivery and two way connectivity with your remote sites. The SkyARCS system connects a central site to hundreds of remote sites. Traffic from the central hub transmitted over a broadband forward link to the small remote terminals via DVB-RCS. User terminals communicate back to the hub via a multi-frequency TDMA scheme with an upstream datarate of up to 2 Megabit per second. This gives better-than-DSL connectivity to places and users who cannot be served appropriately otherwise.
