Satellite Internet Access

Internet Access over satellite is an excellent solution in areas which are not fully equipped with DSL. For an ISP or a service provider, the SkyARCS system connects a central site to hundreds of remote sites. Traffic from the central hub is forwarded over a broadband link to the small remote terminals via DVB-RCS. User terminals communicate back to the hub via a multi-frequency TDMA scheme with an upstream datarate of up to 2 Megabits per second. This gives better-than-DSL connectivity to locations and users which cannot be served appropriately otherwise.

In addition to Internet access, a whole range of applications can be served with SkyARCS, such as tele-education, remote banking and ATM, or even one-way distribution of data or video.

If you are a content provider somewhere in Europe, North Africa, or Asia, ND SatCom can forward your capacity request to a service provider in your area which runs a SkyARCS hub and can serve your users with the required number of low cost SkyARCS user terminals.
