Shared Satellite Networks
|
 |
Instead of establishing and operating individual networks for each customer, service providers can establish a single shared SkyWAN network. Within this network, each customer utilizes his private (sub-)network. SkyWAN manages the overall satellite capacity automatically.
User interfaces are provided for all services: telephony, data, real time data and video.
All services share the satellite capacity, controlled by QoS and priority management technologies.

- The customer is served by an individual private sub-network; star or mesh
- The service provider saves satellite capacity and generates more revenues per kHz
- Individual stations can access extended throughput by using capacity which is not in use by other stations (automatically)
- The win-win situation: more revenues for the service provider - more throughput for the user!
