ND SATCOM inspires at Girls Day: Empowering Young Women for Future
Immenstaad, Germany; April 25, 2024 – ND SATCOM opened its doors on April 25, 2024 for Girls Day, a career guidance initiative for girls and young women. The company offered the participants a unique insight into a wide range of professional fields - from product management and engineering to technology and marketing, there was something for everyone.
The event began with a warm welcome from Monika Haak, Head of Human Resources, who emphasized the importance of promoting female talent in the technology industry. It is crucial to encourage young women to apply for STEM careers too. Girls Day provides an ideal platform for sparking their interest and developing and fostering their potential.
During the day, the participants had the opportunity to take part in small workshops and practical activities. From soldering a circuit board and antenna pointing to antenna measurement in the in-house measuring chamber or video editing in the green room, the girls gained exciting insights into the company's diverse fields of activity.
